Graduate Certificate in Education (Academic Practice)

Overview

The University of South Australia has offered a Graduate Certificate in Education (Academic Practice) from the beginning of 2007. The Graduate Certificate is a Commonwealth Supported program and is open to the public as well as UniSA academic staff. This award is offered through the School of Education and is jointly taught by staff from the Learning and Teaching Unit and the School of Education.

UniSA staff who have completed the Professional Certificate in Academic Practice will be able to apply for credit for part of the Graduate Certificate core course EDUC 5120 Introduction to University Teaching as well as part of whichever of the two electives is chosen; EDUC 5122 Supervising Research Students or EDUC 5139 Research Career Planning and Development.

Full program information is available from the program home page. The program consists of four courses. UniSA staff will normally undertake one course per study period.

How to apply

Australian staff can apply through Apply Online. Staff holding a visa (e.g. sub-class 457) have to apply through University International. All enquiries about the application process can be directed to Ms Maria Arena, Academic Officer, Credit and Admissions in EAS.
