Changes in Malaysian Chapter leadership

Cheng Wai Kok
Cheng Wai Kok, one of UniSA’s longest-serving International Chapter Committee members, has stepped down as President of the Malaysian Alumni Chapter.

Wai Kok was first elected to the Malaysian Chapter Committee in 2004. He also served as Internal Auditor in 2007 and Vice President in 2009-10. In 2011 Wai Kok became Chapter President and held the position for the following three years.

Chapter membership grew significantly during his presidency, along with the number of new events and activities introduced to the membership.
A highlight of Wai Kok’s presidency came when he attended the International Presidents’ Forum in November 2013, sharing Malaysian alumni experiences and witnessing the inaugural presentation of UniSA’s Crossing the Horizon strategic direction to Chapters.

Joanna Liao is the newly-elected Malaysian Chapter President and is well-briefed to take on the role for 2014/15. UniSA thanks Wai Kok for his dedication and service not only to the Committee but also to the University as a whole.
