Leaders' Edge Lunch with Alister Haigh FAICD
A century of success for an iconic SA family business
Haigh's is an iconic South Australian business built on 100 years of dedication that continues with remarkable consequences to delight generations of chocolate lovers.
When the last century ended humans could not even fly. In the 20th century the stock market crashed, there was the great depression, 2 world wars, women got the vote, civil rights act was signed, TV was invented, the human race went to the moon and began to explore stars and Haigh’s Chocolates was introduced to our palate.
Haigh’s Chocolates’ is celebrating its centenary this year. It is Australia’s oldest family-owned chocolate maker, employing over 500 people, has 14 stores in three capital cities and launched an e-commerce website late last year. Continued growth and investment promises the potential for an additional 100 jobs over the next 5 years.
Please join us as Mr Alister Haigh FAICD, Chief Executive and the great-grandson of founder Mr Alfred Haigh, shares an enlightening story about the Haigh family journey over the past 100 years and why they will probably be around in another 100 years!
