    The rising tides of climate change - the challenge to prepare
    With Dr MA Quassem, an expert on water management and the Chair of the Disaster Management Committee from Bangladesh, Professor Fran Baum, Director of the Southgate Institute of Health, Society and Equity and Brian Caton an expert on sea level rise generally and locally. This event will present the challenges of climate change from a Bangladesh Perspective.

This seminar will incorporate a number of 'Innovations and Inventions' in relation to Natural Heritage and Biodiversity Conservation.

    Two forums covering modern day slavery issues
    To be delivered by Roscoe Howell, Slavery Links Australia Inc.
    Slavery did not end 200 years ago. There are 27 million slaves in the world today - poor and vulnerable people who are owned, bonded or trafficked - children, women, men, child soldiers, sex slaves, debt slaves. This address will cover the forms of modern slavery and how people can bring change.

    Sidney Nolan: the Gallipoli series
    The exhibition, comprising a selection of some sixty works from the collection of the Australian War Memorial, offers a rare opportunity for visitors to experience these striking and iconic works. The launch of Sidney Nolan: the Gallipoli series at the Samstag Museum coincides with ANZAC Day 2012.

  • SASA Gallery
    Walking with Alice
    Inspired by the Czech animator Jan Svankmayer's film Alice this exhibition Walking with Alice proposes to build and put forward separate psychoanalytical areas (within the gallery space) looking at three artist's expressions of the unconscious/conscious self whilst pertaining to the imaginary world of Alice in Wonderland.

  • About Time incorporating Open House Adelaide
    UniSA's sponsorship of this month-long celebration of South Australia's history is an opportunity to demonstrate a rich heritage dating back to the 19th century through educational institutions such as the School of Mines and Industries. Two of the University's heritage listed icons, the Brookman Building and the Law Building will be open to the public on Saturday 19 May.
