Alumni Reunion Dinner and AGM 2011

The Singapore Alumni reunion dinner was held on Wednesday 6 July at the Carlton Hotel. Speakers included Chapter President, Dr Mike Teng, University of South Australia Vice Chancellor, Professor Peter Høj, and Chancellor, Dr Ian Gould AM.

Dr Gould made the introductory address, reminding guests that University of South Australia will celebrate its 21st birthday in 2012.

"It takes time, hard work and most of all persistence to become a great university. The good news is that we are hitting our 'adult' years in great shape and 'punching above our weight' as we say in Australia - achieving more than you would expect of a university of our size and age," said Dr Gould.

"I am delighted to say that through all the growth and change that UniSA has seen in recent years two of our earliest values remain strong still - equity, and a vision to produce top-class professionals."

"Many such professionals are sitting before me this evening and it gives me great pride that we have been able to contribute to your futures - and that you are keen to stay in touch with us."

About 4km into the walk at the ranger station the Alumni members found drinking water and amenities, where the group photograph was taken. In total the walk was about 8km long.
