Dr Raymond Choo wsa always fascinated with police work so its no surprise that in 1995, he signed up to be a police officer in Singapore. His five year career was mainly in front line policing but his appointment as Officer-in-charge of the Computer Section of the land division, ignited his passion for computing and contributed to his decision in undertaking a Masters of Information Technology at UniSA.

Nicholas Harford
Nicholas is the Managing Director for sustainability strategy management company, Equilibrium, yet his career started in a very different fashion.
While studying for his Bachelor of Arts in Communications at UniSA, Nicholas was already ambitious having secured work as a copy boy for The Sunday Mail. After graduation, Nicholas moved to Melbourne where he worked for Leader Newspapers. Having a desire to be in the competitive daily newspaper game, he then headed to Sydney where he undertook a Masters of Journalism at UTS, whilst also freelancing for local newspapers.
Nicholas' career took an unexpected turn in 1993 when he started working for the NSW Minister for the Environment. What started as a way to increase skills and contacts as a journalist, turned into a passion to be involved with complex organisations and issues that applied a wide range of communication and analytical expertise to his work.
After working for the government during the 90s, Nicholas needed a change and moved to the private sector, working for packaging giant Visy for 10 years. Nicholas commenced as Corporate Affairs Manager before adding marketing responsibilities to his portfolio, which finally led to his appointment as Visy Group General Manager for the Environment. The role oversaw compliance, reputation, systems and communications management.
In 2009, after a six month hiatus from the corporate world, Nicholas took on another career change and started Equilibrium. The company is a mix of technical and strategic assessment where Nicholas loves combining his passion for sustainability and corporate strategy.
