Alternative Entry

You might be surprised to hear that you could already be eligible to apply to UniSA if you have:

If you completed any of the areas listed above, UniSA offers a range of pathways for you to further your studies through tertiary education, regardless of your background or education history. Year 12 is not the only pathway into university study.

Associate Degrees

UniSA offers Associate Degrees providing pathways which lead to professional careers in Engineering, IT, Built Environments and Accounting. Find out more information about Associate Degrees.

UniSA College

Foundation Studies

Foundation Studies is a one-year program offered by UniSA College and is available for entry through SATAC. The program can also be undertaken part-time and off-campus (or a combination of both). It is an excellent pathway for people who wish to study at undergraduate degree level but don't have the usual qualifications needed for entry. Find out more about Foundation Studies.

Diplomas

UniSA College offers two Diploma programs; Diploma of Arts and Diploma of Science and Technology. Successful completion of a Diploma will provide students with a guaranteed, seamless transition into the second year of a degree at UniSA. Visit UniSA College for more information.

Open Universities Australia (OUA)

You may be eligible for entry to University of South Australia if you have completed at least four Open Universities Australia units at the appropriate level. Alternatively, you can study degree programs or individual units offered by the University of South Australia through Open Universities Australia. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders

If you are an Indigenous Australian, UniSA recognises that you may have not had sufficient support or opportunities in the education system to be able to satisfy the usual university entry requirements. Summer schools and UniSA's Foundation Studies are available to assist you to prepare for entry into UniSA degree programs. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people may also be interested in undertaking UniSA's Foundation Studies.

UniSA also provides additional support with the Indigenous Tutorial Assistance Scheme (ITAS) providing valuable assistance to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.

There are also many Indigenous Scholarships at UniSA for both undergraduate and postgraduate study.
