Architecture and Design
Architecture
in the School of
Art, Architecture and Design integrates undergraduate
teaching practice with academic research
and professional
consultancy
(Teaching Research Consultancy).
Industrial Design
and Interior
Architecture also collaborate on projects.
Innovative work achieved through creatively making and thinking about architecture influences the School's teaching and research program, whilst many research projects have grown out of the curriculum. The Architecture program undertakes professional and research consultancies that often give undergraduate and postgraduate students invaluable professional experience, introducing them to clientswith unique and real needs.
Most teaching staff are practising architects or have significant practice experience. Many are also respected researchers in fields such as philosophy, history and theory, ecologically sustainable design, and design education.
