Teaching
Students in the Architecture program in the School of Art, Architecture and Design are encouraged to explore regional and international design cultures through study tours locally, nationally and overseas.
The School conducts regular study tours to Melbourne and Sydney to engage with contemporary Australian architecture and design. The recent study tour to Italy and Scandinavia with a companion studio project offered participants an opportunity to develop specific interests or experiment with new ideas and practices in an international context.
The Architecture program considers the experience of architecture and culture in other countries to be a vital part of the education of an architect, and all students are encouraged to participate in at least one trip in the course of their studies.
