Artist statement

My practice embodies the notion of place and the way in which we interact within our surroundings. The elements of light, space and depth are explored as vehicles for the sensation of connection within the natural landscape. My work is concerned with both the physical the non-physical aspects of the natural environment; the atmosphere and the sensation of vastness and depth through blown glass forms.

The materiality of blown glass generates a physical presence; like sacred monuments or remnants of a past. These works invited the viewer to explore and evoke a sense of the vast spaces that define our unique environment.
