Artist statement
The Nonchalant Sally Experience is an unhinged collection of collage and futuristic cult objects. Medleys of absurd ingredients cling together with masking tape, and are placed in an aluminium container and microwaved on high for thirty seconds.
Investigations in drawing and painting are spliced with photography and squeezed into the juicer that is digital multimedia.
Recent works have involved interrogated concepts for the
psychologically challenged with a series of images titled
'Paranoid Self Destroyers'.
A satirical glance at the tourist
industry ensues when Nonchalant Sally goes on
holiday in 'Nonchalant Sally Valley Insect
Safari'. And 'Claire
Incorruptible' follows the dramatic pursuits
of a modern-day heroine on the cutting edge of
fashion and mental illness.
