Discourse at these events encompasses urban design and planning, architectural and urban history, the transformation of art, craft and design practices, and interior architecture education. Undergraduate and postgraduate students are encourage to attend and contribute.
The School of Art, Architecture and Design won a 2009 Chancellor's Award for Community Engagement for the Mimili Community Tawara Watiku Student Design and Construction Project.
