Angela and Hossein ValamaneshAngela Valamanesh is an Art, Architecture and Design research student. In 1996, she was awarded an Anne & Gordon Samstag International Visual Arts Scholarship

Angela has participated in a number of SASA Gallery exhibitions including Heartlines (2010) and Surface, Given the Face (2006). She is the postgrad student representative on the Gallery Advisory Committee.

Angela and Hossein Valamanesh (pictured) each received a Member of the Order of Australia Award in June 2010. This is a great honour for both artists, for the school and for Australian visual arts. Queen's Birthday Honours: AM is twice as nice

Angela: 'I think there are some similarities between making functional or non-functional objectsthe same care and pleasurethe differences are to do with ideas; the objects remain small in scale, often in a group or sequence, and quiet in their nature.'
