Kathleen Connellan, Opening Pandora's paintbox: Curriculum research into history and theory of design in Australian universitiesMany School of Art, Architecture and Design academic staff are granted competitive funding through the University of South Australia and externally, to support their art, architecture and design research.

Research publications include book chapters, journal articles, conference papers, individual exhibitions and a range of other categories, according to Department of Innovation, Industry, Science and Research (DIISR) Higher Education Research Data Collection (HERDC) categories and Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA)
