Artist statementZoe Marr is a multimedia artist currently completing a PhD(Major Studio Project) with the School of Art, Architecture and Design [formerly the South Australian School of Art]. Since completing a BA with honours from the Australian National University in 2001, Zoe has contributed sculpture, video and sound installations to group and solo exhibitions, both in Australia and Internationally. Zoe's artwork explores aspects of femininity, desire, sexuality, masquerade and performance within the context of film and fairytales. Her installation work aims to envelop the viewer- exploring an abstraction of ideas and forms through layering, surfaces, vibrations, music and spoken (sub)text. Artist's CV (Word doc 32kb) |
