Curated by Mark Kimber, Studio Head, Photography and New Media, South Australian School of Art, Con.cord 2 is an exhibition of photographs by 30 highly acclaimed artists associated with the South Australian School of Art. Following the successful Con.cord exhibition in 2005, Con.cord 2 showcases a diverse range of photographic techniques and approaches to the medium.

All works in the exhibition have been donated by the high profile photographers and will be available for purchase for $125.00 in a public draw on the opening night. All funds raised will go towards SASAs photography studio digital fund.

Since 1977 photography has been a strong focus at the school and 30 years on it has grown to become the biggest studio in terms of students numbers at SASA, says Mark Kimber. Graduates have had considerable success, receiving critical acclaim as artists, curators, writers, film-makers, photojournalists, commercial photographers, creative directors, state and federal visual art administrators, teachers, lecturers and designers.

In sync with the rise of the digital in photography there has also been resurgence in interest in the antiquarian techniques of 19th Century processes and the craft of photography resulting in an rich and engaging mix of the past, present and exciting possibilities for the future.

Con.cord 2 exhibition brings together work by South Australian School of Art past graduates and associated artists from around the country and from the other side of the world to create an exhibition that showcases many of the diverse possibilities that photography now offers.
