An exciting new gallery space will be created when the entire ground floor of the Kaurna building is transformed for Prelude the 2006 South Australian School of Art Graduate & Honours Exhibition.
Exhibiting contemporary, cutting edge works in a high profile critical context from South Australia School of Arts newest artists, this exciting event will showcase works across a wide range of artistic expressions including glass, jewellery, print-making, photography, sculpture, installation, textiles, drawing, painting, ceramics and new media.
Prelude marks the beginning of a new era of contemporary art in South Australia and includes over 100 SASA Graduating and Honours students, the largest graduate show in the state.
This is not only an opportunity for students to show their work but also a chance for art appreciators and the general public to preview, in one place, the high quality work being produced by the newest generation of South Australian School of Art artists a prelude to greater things to come from this talented group.
