The
Graduate Diploma in Sustainable Design (DGSU) and
Master of Sustainable Design (DMSU) are suitable for anyone with a
recognised degree in a relevant design discipline, and as professional
development for the already practising designer who seeks to further explore
sustainable design opportunities.
For entry to the Graduate Diploma of Sustainable Design
Prospective students must hold at least a three-year completed undergraduate degree or recognised equivalent in a related design discipline from a recognised higher education institution. Design disciplines may include: Architecture, Interior Architecture, Industrial Design, Furniture Design, Civil or Structural Engineering, Planning and Urban Design
Applications may also be considered from prospective students who have successfully completed a three-year undergraduate degree or recognised equivalent in an unrelated field if they have a credit average or above in their undergraduate degree, and have a minimum of two years documented work experience in a discipline related to sustainable design.
These applicants must submit:
In such cases applicants, as part of their portfolio submission, must demonstrate achievement in, and relevance of, previous higher education studies, professional experience and/or published research work.
For entry to the Master of Sustainable Design
Prospective students must:
hold at least a three-year completed undergraduate
degree or recognised equivalent in a related design
discipline from a recognised higher education institution
with a Grade Point Average of 5 or above or equivalent
OR
have completed the UniSA Graduate Diploma in Sustainable
Design or a Graduate Diploma in a related design discipline
from a recognised higher education institution with a Grade
Point Average of 5 or above

International students
To be eligible for entry international students must:
- meet the admission requirements outlined above
- meet the English language entry requirements for the Graduate Diploma of Sustainable Design and Master of Sustainable Design
- submit a portfolio of work
- submit a written statement of intent
