Manually mapping a network drive on Windows XP
Mapping a network drive from work
If you are experiencing problems and you do not receive automatic mappings, please contact the IT Helpdesk and log a service request for BUE-IT to assist you.
- Log into the UniSA network
- Double click on My computer; and select Tools, Map network drive
- In the drive field select the relevant drive letter (for your School or Unit)
- In the folder field enter the correct path for the folder (for your School or Unit)
- Select the 'Reconnect at logon' tick box and click Finish

Note: You will need to perform the above steps for each network drive that you would like mapped but the connections should remain present each time you logon.
Mapping a network drive from home
- Connect to the network either wirelessly or via broadband
- Connect the Cisco VPN client (this file is pre-configured and only needs to be installed - download file)
- Once connected you can manually map the network drives using the instructions above.
Note:
- You may be required to enter your credentials from a non Blue Plated computer. If prompted enter your university logon in the format uninet\username and password
- The drive mapping will only apply to the connection that you were using when you created the mapping. If you require it for both broadband and wireless you will need to repeat the process for each connection.
