Dameware
Dameware is a remote access tool that allows us to remotely control your PC to troubleshoot issues.
How does it work?
When the Dameware agent is installed, you will notice a green/red Dameware icon in the system tray at the bottom right hand corner of the screen, next to the time:
This is the default state where no-one is connected to your PC.
If the IT Help Desk (not BUE-IT) attempt to connect to your PC you will be prompted to accept or decline a request to access you PC.
|
*Please note: BUE-IT will only attempt to connect to you PC after you have authorized our access either via phone or email.
Once we have connected to your PC the icon will change to notify you that someone is connected:

General Issues
What level of access will BUE-IT have on the remote PC?

the BUE-IT staff member. The BUE-IT staff operating the remote control
session will only have the same security privileges as that of the currently
logged on user.
Invitations (Only for connections from IT Help Desk)
The person being assisted is prompted by an invitation from the remote
control software and must accept the invitation to be remotely controlled
when ensures their privacy is not compromised. The user has the right to
reject or disconnect a remote connection once connected.
