Opening another mailbox in Outlook Web Access

You can use Outlook Web Access to open a mailbox other than your own (providing you have appropriate permission). This can be useful if you need to check a mail account other than your own from a location other than your work computer. All you need to use is the browser to open the University home page.

  1. Open the UniSA home page and click on the Email link in the grey bar to open Outlook Web Access

  2. Logon to Outlook Web Access using your normal user credentials (your normal username and password). Do not select  the Light version or the other mailbox option will not be available.

  3. Now you have logged on and your email account should be open. At the top of the Outlook Web Access window you will see your name and a dropdown arrow. This is shown below circled in red.

  4. Click the dropdown box to open the 'Open other mailbox' dialogue box. Enter the name of the mailbox you need to open and click open.
  5. The mailbox will open in a new browser window.
  6. Once you have the mailbox open you can click on the Options button which will open the Options screen as shown below. You will be able to make changes for this mail account such as changing the Out of Office settings or mailbox rules.
