Save and name a document in Word 2007
Open Microsoft Word 2007
1. Select the Office Button
2. Click on Save As
3. Select the type of file
4. Enter a file name
5. Click Save
Word Document
Saves document in Word 2007 format (*.docx).
Word Template
Saves document as a Word 2007 template (*.dotx)
Word 97-2003 Document
Saves document in previous version of Word (*.doc)
To open a Word 2007 file in Word 2003, the Office 2007 Compatibility Patch must
be installed. All BUE-IT supported areas should have this
pack already installed, if not please log a service request for BUE-IT to
install it, otherwise laptop users (administrators) can download the Office 2007 Compatibility pack for
Office 2003 from here:
