Gavin Colville's nomination provided a convincing case of excellence based upon the Division priority of facilitating transition to practice. Gavin's philosophy of teaching outlined a distinctive set of values centred upon facilitating learning opportunities and rewarding student commitment and effort. Gavin's philosophy was strongly aligned with his teaching practice focussed upon the development of work integrated learning. His teaching practice was informed by evidence from the literature and shaped by reflection and continual improvement. The nomination was accompanied by a good variety of evidence of the impact that his teaching practice has had on student learning outcomes. Congratulations Gavin.

Ben Seidel's nomination provided a convincing case of excellence based on the Division priority of high quality student feedback as well as incorporation of workplace relevance into his teaching. Ben is a sessional staff member who has made a significant impact through the development of a feedback system and proformas that have improved the quality of student feedback and which have been adopted by other staff members. He engages in a process of continual improvement by seeking student input into his teaching on a ongoing basis and has been recognised by both staff and students for his efforts which demonstrate his real commitment to student learning. Congratulations Ben.
