Division of Business Postgraduate Orientation Program (Study Period 5, 2012)

Orientation activities introduce you to campus life, to people, to new ways of teaching and learning and to the multitude of resources and support available at the University of South Australia. Postgraduate Orientation Activities - all students

11.45am - 12.30pm Lunch activities
Come along to a free lunch and meet with the Program Directors and teaching staff from your particular program.

Commencing postgraduate study at UniSA
Overview of postgraduate study at UniSA including the differences between undergraduate and postgraduate study, different educational cultures, services the Learning and Teaching Unit offer, the online environment and academic reading. This session will include a panel of current students talking about their experiences of being a first year postgraduate student and you will be able to ask them questions.

2.00pm - 2:45pm Campus Tour
Current UniSA students will take you on a tour of the City West Campus, and assist you with completing the Business Passport to Success competition (all entries receive a free USB).
Business Mates meet students outside GK2-16
3.00pm -4.15pm   Introduction to Library Services - Getting the most out of the Library for your research
An informative session offered by the Library that covers what services and resources the Library offers and vital information on assisting you with research.

Career preparation and Global Experience postgraduate promotion
Must see workshop for all those students who are serious about their career direction.

Academic writing session
A session offered by the Learning and Teaching Unit to provide information focusing on the expectations of academic writing at postgraduate level, including understanding assessment tasks, the writing process and how to reference correctly. This session includes a break with light refreshments and a chance to interact with other postgraduate students.
