Today’s uni students will be the business, political and community leaders of tomorrow. That’s why we view our students as future change-makers and want to offer you every chance we can to develop your leadership qualities. It’s also why we’ve put together our Leadership Program, which offers some of the most exciting leadership development opportunities of any Australian university.
ASPIRE – UNITE – LEAD; this is the leadership journey students can tackle through the UniSA Leadership Program. Students may enter the Leadership Program at the level they feel they are ready for based on their skills, confidence and experience in the area of leadership. All of these programs are recognised for the Leadership and Enterprise pillar of UniSA+.
ASPIRE will provide an insight into different styles of leadership, build your self-awareness and assist you to develop the skills needed to work effectively in leadership teams. All enrolled UniSA students can develop their leadership skills through ASPIRE and there is no limitation on the number of registrations. So join ASPIRE today!
UNITE takes your leadership development a step further by focusing on more in-depth self-awareness and self-management strategies, team-building, consensus building and more. Existing student leaders throughout UniSA will be offered the opportunity to participate and this program. UNITE is not open to application by individual students – only group applications will be accepted. If you are in an existing student leadership group at UniSA and would like your group to be considered for UNITE, please ask your staff supervisor to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
LEAD is a capstone program with a very limited intake of UniSA Students each year. Exceptional leaders identified through ASPIRE, UNITE and other leadership roles/programs are offered the chance to apply for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of their strengths, weaknesses and values, while also collaborating towards initiatives that will have impact on the student experience at UniSA. Students will receive ongoing coaching, mentoring and support as they seek to be a change leader on behalf of other students at UniSA! Applications for 2018 will close on Monday 4 December 2017 students will need to attach a UniSA Staff recommendation to their application. Students that would like to participate in LEAD in 2019 should investigate ASPIRE, UNITE or other Leadership roles in 2018 to give themselves the best chance of being accepted in 2019.
