Hello

With the end of year exams just around the corner many students will be thinking about their future study options. Remember, Year 12s applying for university will need to apply through SATAC by 30 September to avoid paying the late fee. And don't forget, students who apply after Friday 2 December will not be given equal consideration.

In other news, we would like to introduce you to Melanie Summers who joins the team as Events Officer. We would also like to officially welcome Olivia Brokate into the position of Student Liaison Officer and congratulate Tahnee Blight on being appointed Student Liaison Coordinator.

Congratulations and welcome to the new (and old) team members!  I wish you and your students all the best throughout the upcoming exam period.

Kind regards,

Ryan Bailey
Manager, Domestic Student Recruitment

UniSA Advantage is a two-tiered bonus points scheme. It awards students with Achievement and Aspire bonus points. In line with the introduction of the new SACE, the total number of bonus points available to Year 12 students will be capped at 9 points.

The Achievement bonus points do not require an application and are awarded on year 12 subjects studied.

Bonus points

Students who are eligible for Aspire bonus points may need to fill out an application form depending on their circumstances. If students are unsure whether they need to submit an application form please contact the Future Student Enquiries Team on 1300 UNINOW or study@unisa.edu.au. Applications close Friday 16 December 2011.

Don't forget that when students get their results in December they can call us on 1300 UNINOW to find out their adjusted UniSA ATAR.

UniSA College

The College’s programs allow entry from Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents who are 18 years of age or over and who don’t have more than a Certificate III qualification. Students are taught on campus by UniSA staff and have access to the full range of support services that UniSA provides.

Diplomas
New in 2012, UniSA College will be offering a Diploma of Arts and a Diploma of Science and Technology. The Diplomas are suited to students who have a lower ATAR than required for entry into their preferred program. Successful completion of the diplomas will provide students with a guaranteed, seamless transition into the second year of a degree at UniSA. Applications for these Diplomas are to be made directly to UniSA by Thursday 1 March 2012.

Foundation Studies
UUniSA Foundation Studies is a free, one year program for students with no precious qualifications. Students will learn the skills required for successful university-level study in a supportive environment. On completion of the program, students may use their grade point average (GPA) for entry into a university degree or second year of a UniSA College diploma. Students apply via SATAC and have the option of listing Foundations Studies in their preferences as an alternative option into a UniSA program.
