Academic Adjustments and Support

Any student, whose disability, mental health or medical condition impacts on their studies may be eligible for reasonable adjustments. Reasonable adjustments are based on individual needs and aim to minimise the impact of the disability, mental health or medical issue. Reasonable adjustments can include academic adjustments which are changes to course content, delivery and assessment. Students negotiating adjustments should have an Access Plan.

Academic adjustments should not lessen the genuine academic standards of the course and should not give a student with a disability an unfair advantage over other students. 

Students need to discuss any requests for adjustments to their courses with the relevant Course Coordinators and can seek assistance from the Disability Service if required.
