These scholarships are managed by AusAID. These scholarships are offered to Indigenous Australian students in their final year of tertiary study.
Students are expected to do a minimum of two weeks paid work experience in AusAID's Central Office in Canberra during the semester break. Upon successful completion of studies, scholarship recipients are expected to take up permanent employment with AusAID. The scholarship provides a monthly allowance of approximately $1,080 for 11 months; payment of final year student contribution amount, compulsory program fees and student union fees; and a textbook allowance. Scholarship recipients cannot receive AbStudy.
