This program is managed by the Foundation for Young Australians in partnership with the Minerals Council of Australia.
The scholarships are offered to Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander students aged 30 or under during the year for which the scholarship will be used.
The primary criteria to assess applications are merit, financial need, how well an applicant will fulfil the aims of the program, and the future benefits the applicant will bring to the community.
There are 20 to 30 scholarships available each year in any field of study of up to $5,000 per annum for each tertiary student and $2,500 per annum for each secondary student.
