These scholarships are managed by the Aboriginal Services Division of the Department of Human Services. Applicants must be of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander origin and must be undertaking or enrolled in an appropriate degree level program at a South Australian tertiary institution.
Preference is given to applicants studying towards a qualification where there is an identified skills shortage or need within the DH portfolio. Community involvement by an applicant will be taken into consideration. Upon graduating, recipients will be offered up to two years employment within the Human Services portfolio. The scholarships are available for the duration of the recipient's studies, subject to successful completion of each academic year.
Successful recipients will receive $5,000 per year.
