There's more to design than meets the eye - and that's the exciting thing about it.
It's immensely satisfying to present designs, products or strategies that please you and meet your client's expectations, and the results are there for all to see. But for those who've made design their career - and wouldn't consider anything else - there is just as much buzz in the process; and in the challenge of developing something exceptional.
Along with my interest in graphic design I have also fallen in love with photography after completing an elective subject. UniSA has been incredibly encouraging and helpful by supporting me with my own solo exhibition.
Design is about problem solving, be it developing a new product or communicating a message about that product, its brand and the people behind it. You need to be creative, but you also need a practical side that can link that creativity to a specific need.
If that sounds like you, then UniSA is for you. Our undergraduate design degrees in Visual Communication and Product Innovation both combine a strong foundation in traditional skills with contemporary thinking. We help you to generate ideas, not just execute them.
Whether your interest is in designing products or communicating ideas, we'll provide you with a comprehensive and challenging study program that integrates theory with significant studio time and the opportunity to make those important links in the industry.
From early in your studies you'll start working on real projects for real clients - and start getting the buzz of producing real outcomes.
