Teachers teach because that is what they really want to do. It is one of the most demanding of professions, with new challenges every day, but also one of the most rewarding. To succeed, it helps to have confidence in your own ability and in the training you have received.

UniSA offers the most extensive range of education degrees in South Australia, with the simple aim of ensuring our graduates have the right mix of skills, initiative and motivation for the many changing situations they will face in the real world.

The best way to learn how to teach is to get out into schools, observe experienced teachers and then have a go at applying what you have learnt. UniSA allows you this real-world experience from your first year right through to your last.

We offer five distinct degree programs, covering the spectrum from early childhood education to adult, vocational and workplace learning, and four double degrees options. All are nationally accredited yet flexible and include extensive placements or field-based practicums.

Throughout your studies you'll have the chance to debate, evaluate and question old ideas and new and to engage with the latest thinking in teaching and learning. Our staff members have outstanding reputations as teachers, consultants and researchers and collaborate with education and research centres around the world.

Over the past decade we have carried out more than 80 projects in collaboration with the South Australian Department of Education & Children's Services, including a major School-to-Work Literacy and Numeracy Program and the identification of approaches to improve literacy in low socio-economic status schools.
