Public Relations

Public relations has always been a dynamic profession, but the rapid growth of new media has made it even more fast-paced, challenging and rewarding.

Today tweets, blogs and networking sites are as much as part of a PR campaign as press releases and product launches and there are exciting opportunities for new people with new ideas and a real feel for the business.

I chose UniSA's Bachelor of Public Relations degree while searching for my ideal career path. I found a modern program that was diverse and interesting and helped students remain engaged for the duration of course. The unique practical experience offered through the degree's internship program was an incredible advantage and gave me a head-start in the industry.

Whether you're promoting something positive or managing a crisis, campaigns need to be strategic, logical, realistic, integrated and ethical if they are to achieve your goals. As with any true profession, you need to know your stuff.

We assume you'll bring good people skills and a genuine interest in people because all PR is built on managing and understanding public attitudes and perceptions and developing relationships. In return we'll offer a genuine understanding of where you want your career to head and the all-important contacts in the industry that can make that a reality.

We offer the only PR program in South Australia accredited by the Public Relations Institute of Australia and we are incredibly proud of what our graduates have achieved.
