Service
improvement
The new organisation structures in the Division of EASS came into effect on 19 September 2011.
Our goal in the immediate future is to now:
- embed the new organisation structures across the Division
- work with each other to create the new culture
- hold on to the new ways of working to make them succeed and become strong enough to replace old traditions
- access training activities
- feed-back instances where work practices are successful and where they’re not
- develop a continuous improvement culture.
A number of tools and activities are available to help make this transition period as easy as possible:
- A training plan tailored for each professional staff position across the Division is accessible via the "Training" link in the left-hand menu. Professional staff are expected to participate in the training activities that are planned for their role. Staff must negotiate attendance times with their manager before registering to ensure that work areas remain adequately resourced.
- The Service Guide will assist you to locate EASS people, services and resources. A directory of service contacts has also been developed by your School Manager as a handy hard-copy resource which lists the names of key contacts within your school and division. These will be distributed by your School Manager.
The work and commitment from EASS staff across all levels, disciplines, campuses and a range of workplace experiences will contribute to developing a Division that will thrive alongside the constant challenges and opportunities that the higher education sector generates.
