The Centre for Research in Education (CREd), has been developed to provide a new organisational structure for research in the School of Education at UniSA. CREd:
- Brings all of our research groups into one space
- Enables our researchers to sustain a discipline focus for their research
- Provides a structure for capacity building and succession planning
- Makes the interface between our teaching and research more permeable
- Provides for significant development of the research culture for both academics and students
CREd has eleven research groups (listed above) and hence a wide variety of research programs and projects. Our research is committed to: environmental and social sustainability; social justice; valuing cultural difference; and innovation. The research program of the Centre focuses on the following:
- High quality teaching and learning
- Links with the wider community through equity and engagement
- What is happening in our educational institutions and also at the interface with other cultural institutions, public culture and work?
- How does education respond to 'the times', and issues related to place?
- In what ways do developments in communication and technology affect teaching and learning?
- How do policies affect educational institutions, teachers' work, and student learning?
- What is innovative in the fields of curriculum and pedagogy studies?
