David Pank Education Scholarship
The Pank family has established this scholarship in memory of David Pank. The scholarship is tenable for three years and will be offered to students enrolled full-time in the second year of a Bachelor of Education program (and associated Double Degree programs). Applicants must provide evidence of financial hardship and a supporting statement with their application outlining their career and personal aspirations and how the scholarship will assist them in achieving their goals. Details of financial disadvantage should also be included in the written statement. The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of financial hardship‚ a personal written statement‚ academic merit and an interview. Students in receipt of another Pank family scholarship, grant or prize or other non-Commonwealth scholarships are not eligible for this scholarship..
Value of Funding
Up to $6,000. Recipients will receive an annual payment of $2,000 made in two instalments of $1,000 after the Study Period 2 and Study Period 5 census dates provided they continue to meet the scholarship criteria and maintain satisfactory academic performance
This scholarship is open to students who are:
1) Australian citizens or permanent residents;
2) - Enrolled in the second year of one of the following programs:
Bachelor of Education (MBET) (Early Childhood, Primary, or Primary and Middle specialisations)
Bachelor of Science‚ Bachelor of Education (LBES);
LBDT Bachelor of Education (Design and Technology Education)
3) Enrolled in that program on a full-time basis as a Commonwealth Supported student.
Scholarship recipients will be selected on
the basis of:
- Demonstrated financial hardship plus evidence
- A supporting personal written statement
- Academic Merit
- Performance at interview.
Preference will be given to students studying Middle Education and those with Mathematics and Science specialisations.
