The University of South Australia is pleased to have hosted the second ATN Evaluations and Assessment Conference
24-25th November 2003

This conference offered academics, students and industry professionals the opportunity to share their experiences of effective evaluations and assessment practices and systems.

Conference Themes:
• professional development in relation to assessment and evaluation
• online or technologically assisted assessment
• discipline based best practice in assessment and feedback to students
• evaluation and quality assurance

The major attractions of the conference were keynote speakers, Dr Tom Angelo from the University of Akron and Professor Paul Ramsden, Pro Vice Chancellor (Teaching and Learning) at the University of Sydney.  Dr Angelo is an international authority on assessment in teaching and spoke on the Scholarship of assessment.  Prof Ramsden spoke on the Evaluation of teaching. 

At the close of the conference, delegates were delighted to be entertained by Professor Bruce King's composition of the official conference song.
