Evacuations

Security services has responsibility for the safe evacuation of all
persons on campus. In consultation with Facilities Management Unit and
OHSW&IM Services, a comprehensive set of Emergency Evacuation Procedures
have been developed that provides staff, students, contractors and visitors
along with emergency control personnel with relevant information relating to
the evacuation of UniSA premises.
We encourage ALL staff, students contractors and visitors to read these
procedures and in the interest of public safety, it is important to follow
any directions by a Building Evacuation Warden and or Security Officer when
advised to do so.
These procedures can be found by clicking on the following link:

In addition, the University has a procedure in place for the non-emergency
evacuation of people with mobility disabilities during power or lift
failures.
Staff interested in becoming an Emergency Evacuation Officer or who are
required to update their existing training should refer to the OHSW&IM
