Halsan Pty Ltd trading as Hughes Chauffeured Limousines (SA), CITICAR and SMARTCAR are the University's provider of passenger transport services within Metropolitan Adelaide. Negotiated competitive rates and set rates between campuses have been agreed to.

Chauffeured Transport Service - ISSUES REGISTER

Cancellations

Cancellations made at least 20 minutes prior to original departure time will not incur a fee. A no show fee is applied where the passenger is not available to be transported, i.e. fails to appear at the nominated pick-up point.

Service Fees

In addition to the fees for the services provided the following fees will be payable.

Early Start Fee

The Early Start fee is $12.00 and will be payable for all non campus bookings with a pick-up time after 10.00pm and before 6.00am unless the booking is cancelled.

Waiting Fee

(a) Passenger Transport Service (with a pick-up location other than an airport)

    (i)                A grace period of seven minutes free waiting time beginning from the scheduled
                       pick-up time will apply for all Passenger Transport Service bookings.

    (ii)                Once the seven minute free waiting time has elapsed in respect of a booking, the
                       waiting surcharge of $1.00 per minute will be apply for each additional full minute
                       until the time the passenger arrives at the pick-up location. This fee does not
                       apply to any airport pick up.

    (iii)               The waiting fee will apply to a booking for more than one passenger, where one
                       or more passengers are not present at the pick-up location once the seven
                       minute free waiting time has elapsed.

    (iv)               The Service Provider agrees that its' chauffeurs will make all reasonable efforts to
                       locate the passenger once the seven minute free
waiting time has elapsed,
                       including trying to make contact with the passenger by telephone and by
                       telephoning the University to
arrange for the University's staff to try to contact
                       the passenger.

    (v)               The waiting fee will not apply if the no show fee applies to that booking.

 (b) Passenger Transport Service (with an airport, bus terminal or rail terminal pick-up
      location) and On-Arrival Service

    (i)                A grace period of 15 minutes free waiting time beginning from the passenger
                       disembarkation time will apply for a domestic terminal, bus terminal and
                       rail terminal pick-up location.

    (ii)               A grace period of 30 minutes free waiting time beginning from the passenger
                      disembarkation time will apply for an international terminal pick-up location.

    (iii)              Once the grace period free waiting time has elapsed in respect of a booking,
                       the waiting surcharge of $1.00 per minute will be apply for each additional
                       full minute until the time the passenger arrives at the pick-up location.

    (iv)              Once the grace period of free waiting time has elapsed and the passenger has not
                      arrived at a pick-up location the chauffeur will contact the University to confirm
                      whether the booking is still required, such that

(A)            if the booking is still required the chauffeur will continue to
     wait, and the waiting surcharge will continue to be applied,
     until the passenger arrives;

(B)             if the booking is no longer required, only the cancellation
      surcharge will be payable and the waiting surcharge will not
      be applied.

    (v)              The Service Provider agrees that its chauffeurs will make all reasonable efforts to
                      locate the passenger once the grace period of free waiting time has elapsed,
                      including trying to make contact with the passenger by telephone and by
                      telephoning the University to arrange for the University's staff to try to contact
                      the passenger.

Penalty Fee

No-Show Fee

(a)                The no-show surcharge is $24.50 for Passenger Transport Service bookings, other
                    than those with a pick-up location at Adelaide University Roseworthy Campus,
                    where the no-show fee is $107.67.

(b)                The no-show fee will be payable for a Passenger Transport Service booking with a
                    pick-up location other than the international terminal, domestic terminal, bus
                    terminal or rail terminal, where the passenger is not present at the pick-up location

                  
 after 20 minutes from the pick-up time has elapsed.

(c)                The no-show fee will be payable for a Passenger Transport Service booking with a
                    pick-up location at the international terminal, domestic terminal, bus terminal or
                    rail terminal, where the University has confirmed that the passenger will no longer
                    be requiring the service.

(d)                The Service Provider agrees that where a no-show fee is to be applied to a booking,
                    no other amount will be payable in respect of that booking, other than the early
                    start surcharge, where applicable.

Cancellation Fee

(e)                 The cancellation fee is $24.50 for Passenger Transport Service bookings, other
                    than those with a pick-up location at Adelaide University Roseworthy Campus,
                    where the cancellation surcharge is $43.49.

(f)                The cancellation fee will apply for Passenger Transport Service bookings and
                    On-Arrival Service bookings where:

                    (i)             the booking is cancelled less than 30 minutes prior to the pick-up time
                                    and the pick-up location is Adelaide University Roseworthy Campus.

                    (ii)            the booking is cancelled less than 20 minutes prior to the pick-up time
                                    and the pick-up location is a location other than the Adelaide University
                                    Roseworthy Campus.

(g)                The cancellation time will be deemed to be:

                    (i)               the time a telephone call made by the University to cancel the booking
                                      is answered by the Service Provider; or

                    (ii)              the time a facsimile sent by the University to cancel the booking is
                                      received by the Service Provider.

(h)                 The Service Provider agrees that in the event that the booking is cancelled after the
                     pick-up time only the no-show fee will be payable and not the cancellation fee.

(i)                  The Service Provider agrees that where a cancellation fee is to be applied to a
                     booking, no other amount will be payable in respect of that booking, other than
                     the early start fee, where applicable
