UniSA Sustainable Transport

Location and Getting to UniSA

UniSA is committed to environmental sustainability including reducing greenhouse gas emissions and minimizing impact on the urban environment. Travelling to and from campus can be a significant cause of environmental damage, depending on the transport options that we choose, so UniSA encourages staff and students to use low impact travel for daily commuting if at all possible.

The graph below shows the emissions generated by the transport choices available to get to and from campus.
(The below graph was  sourced from the former  Australian Greenhouse Office.)

Often people will drive to campus because it is convenient, without realising that driving is the most costly and environmentally damaging way to commute.

Students and staff have many other options for getting to campus, for example:

Carpooling
Public transport
 Cycling
Walking
Working from home
