PhD candidate in psychology (part-time)

Present position: Chief Clinical  Psychologist with Family & Youth Services Division, Department of Human Services.

Current research: The development and use of a young offender psychosocial screening assessment.  Topics examined include: the development of an actuarial recidivism prediction index; substance use and self-harming behaviours; literacy, numeracy and intellectual functioning of detained youths; tattoos and antisocial behaviours.

Previous research has been in the areas of delinquency, ethnopschology (specifically the psychology of migrant adjustment) and immigration history.

Published about 30 papers, 3 books and 1 dictionary.
