Outside Directorships

The term "Outside Directorship" means any position held at the request of the University in any company or organisation that is not a subsidiary of the University.

Persons wishing to undertake an Outside Directorship on behalf of UniSA must lodge a completed FS33 Outside Directorships form (PDF 55 kb - download Adobe Acrobat) with the Insurance Office prior to their formal appointment to the Board.

Outside Directorships can only be approved by the Vice Chancellor.

Approval of an Outside Directorship can only be granted when the position is held at the University’s request or with the University’s knowledge and consent.  Only under these circumstances will cover be provided by UniSA insurance.

Applicants must comply with the Guidelines for Outside Directorships.

Any position on the board of an external company that is not on behalf of the University is considered a Personal Risk Consultancy and staff are required to comply with the guidelines for Personal Risk Activities.
