Qantas Universities Airfares Agreement
The University is part of the Qantas Universities Airfares Agreement (QUAA) which provides discounts. These discounts are only available when:
- Bookings are performed via one of the University's preferred Travel Service Providers, and
- Using Qantas as the preferred airline.
Conversely, they are not available when:
- Other preferred Travel Service Providers are used, or
- Payment is made by credit card, or
- Direct booking with any airline (either by phone or over the web - this includes "Red-E" and other special one-off deals).
Airlines other than Qantas may be used as per the University's Travel Guidelines.
University Corporate Credit Cards are not to be used for services that can be provided by one of UniSA's preferred Travel Service Providers.

In all cases intending travellers should consult with one or more of the
preferred
Travel
Service Providers
when booking flights. Our contract with the
preferred
Travel
Service Providers
specify that they must offer the the lowest logical best fare of the day
(whether Qantas or not), and they must offer a minimum of 2 quotes.

Qantas Club
Staff who are expected to travel frequently on University business may be provided with Qantas Club Membership where an authorised supervisor deems it to be value for money expenditure. Memberships are purchased for one or two years at a time. Lifetime membership is not permitted.
The memberships for staff who have been identified as qualifying for the University to fund the membership are required to forward the Qantas application form and an e-mail approving the expenditure from the cost centre manager with VC authorisation to StrategicProcurement@unisa.edu.au, to place under a centralised Qantas Corporate Scheme.
If you are already a Qantas Club Member and wish to transfer to the University Funded Scheme, Qantas requires a completed application form to be submitted to Strategic Procurement, with an e-mail approving the expenditure from the cost centre manager with VC authorisation to organise the transfer to the University scheme.
Arrangements have also been made for staff who may wish to self fund their airline club membership at discounted rates. These costs may be salary sacrificed after payment has been completed. Airline membership will not be provided for partners.
Membership rates are:
- Joining Fee $230
- One Year Membership $308.10
- 2 Year Membership $545.10
University Funded Memberships
- Complete Corporate Qantas Club Application .
- Arrange an e-mail from the cost centre manager with VC authority confirming the expenditure, including the cost centre number for payment.
- Forward the completed form and authorisation to StrategicProcurement@unisa.edu.au, Finance Unit.
Procedure: Self Funded Memberships
- Complete Corporate Qantas Club Application including payment details.
- Insert the University of SA scheme number: 110539.
- Insert your full address details.
- Fax the completed form to 1300 305 747.

Please note: The University released Professional Development Guidelines on 29th April 2008 and these now state that PD funds may no longer be used for Airline Memberships.
