the Australian Science Media Centre Scholarship is available to postgraduate students who are commencing the
Master of Arts (Journalism) program. The scholarship will be awarded to students who have a genuine interest in science combined with journalism,
communication or multi-media.
Recipients of the award will be offered the opportunity to undertake work experience during the study break and/or to undertake their practicum at the Australian Science Media Centre (AusSMC).
Formed in 2005, AusSMC is an independent, non-profit service for the news media, giving journalists direct access to evidence-based science and expertise. The centre's aim is to better inform public debate on the major issues of the day by improving links between the media and the scientific community.
