Global Experience Mentoring Program
The Global Experience program is investigating establishing a
mentoring program for motivated students who are actively participating
in the Global Experience program.
This is a wonderful opportunity for students to be matched with a mentor
from industry with whom you can discuss your career plan and gain
valuable insights into the workplace.
Criteria
To be considered to be part of the mentoring program, students will need to
meet the following criteria:
- Be currently registered in Global Experience;
- Be actively participating in the program as demonstrated by the
following:
- 1. have completed the Global Experience Orientation session;
and
- 2. have submitted an application for a minimum of 2
activities toward your Experience Suite ; and
- 3. have successfully completed or are currently enrolled in
the course BUSS1056
- 1. have completed the Global Experience Orientation session;
and
- Have at least one full study period of academic study to complete in
2012 before you expect to graduate;
- Have a minimum GPA of 4.0.

To be considered for the mentoring program complete the application form and submit a 250-500 word statement (in Word.doc format) addressing the following:
- Why do you believe you will benefit from a mentor?
- How would you utilise a mentor as part of the Global Experience program to your full advantage?
- What are your current career aspirations (what industry and in what role would you like to be employed in upon graduation-please ensure this is linked to your professional area of study and interests, and is an appropriate graduate level, so we can assess potential mentor matches)

Please note, due to resource constraints, mentor opportunities will be
limited and not all applicants will be successful. Your suitability will be
assessed by a panel of potential mentors and Global Experience staff based
on your statement and the criteria listed above. Students who are not
successful this round will be placed on a waiting list should a future
opportunity arise.
