Living the Ex-Pat Life draws on the literatures of relocation and expatriatism combined with media reports of expatriatism and the presenter's own experiences of living and working in the UK, Germany, Singapore, Hong Kong and elsewhere as a monolingual professional. The personal and professional "adjustments" you have to make settling into the new country will be explored. How do you experience, and manage, "culture shock" in the new location? We will also discuss the problems you may face on your return home after your expatriate experience. Living the Ex-Pat Life will help you develop a more realistic understanding of life as an expatriate. It will help you make appropriate decisions about living and working overseas.
