Step To The Future: Youth Leadership Forum

The Bob Hawke Prime Ministerial Centre is proud to announce its
involvement with the Step To The Future youth leadership forum to be held at
the Adelaide Convention Centre on Tuesday 21 and Wednesday 22 September.
"Step To The Future" is a student driven initiative with the aim of
inspiring high school students to build confidence in themselves in order to
reach their goals and being motivated to take the initiative and achieve the
impossible.
The program aims to provide 15 – 18 year old young Australians with positive
role models, motivation and share the life experiences of a diverse group of
individuals representing, business, politics, entertainment, sport and the
general community.
Forum goals are to:
- Promote positive role models
- Build confidence in each participant to instil a 'can do' attitude about their future
- Learning to deal with success and failure equally
- Understand the concepts of teamwork and collaborative effort
- Assistance in where to start in building a “network” of support
- Assistance with learning how to strike a balance between a career, family and a high quality of life.
