Government’s Paid Parental Leave Scheme
The Federal Government’s National
Paid Parental Leave (NPPL) Scheme applies to births and adoptions that
take place on or after 1 January 2011.
Eligible working parents are able to register with the Family Assistance
Office.
The University’s paid parental leave scheme does not form part of the NPPL scheme. Payments made in line with the University’s scheme are made in addition to payments a staff member may be eligible to receive under the NPPL.
