ARNTP Success Continues
The latest 24 students of this very successful program have recently graduated,
adding to the 700+ students who have graduated from the program since its inception in 2003.
The program provides a way for professional nurses
from other countries to meet the registration requirements of the newly
named Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) in order to work as a registered nurse in Australia.
This latest graduates however can be proud of something very special.
They are the first cohort that required an IELTS entry score of 7.0 in all four bands.
Their success has been echoed by hospitals and clinics where they undertook their 8 weeks
of clinical placement who were very pleased with not only their level of English
proficiency but their capabilities and professionalism.
With many already offered positions, we wish our graduates all
the very best as they commence the Australian chapter of their nursing careers.

New Social Work Studio
The Social Work Studio is an initiative of the School of Psychology, Social Work and Social Policy.
It is a purpose-built dedicated learning space where UniSA students can experience various
aspects of social work practice in a supportive and safe environment. The Studio
is designed for interactive learning of the skills and knowledge that graduates of
social work and human services programs will require for their professional lives.
It is equipped with up-to-date video recording equipment, cameras and one-way
mirrors which enable viewing by students observing in the adjoining classroom. This will aid students
in developing their skills in communication, interviewing, conflict resolution and negotiation.
In the Studio, students will engage in simulations of real-life professional situations and
develop increasingly complex skills for working with clients.
