Graduation for international students

Ceremonies
Apart from regular graduation ceremonies in Adelaide, there is an additional ceremony especially for international students in December each year. For all enquiries regarding graduations please contact Campus Central. Tel: (08) 8302 0511 or 1300 301 6708 (cost of a local call).
If you would like to attend a presentation of Awards Ceremony in Malaysia, Singapore or Hong Kong please check offshore ceremonies details on the University's website.
Visa
If your current visa is to expire before your graduation date, you will need to make an appointment with staff at the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) for a temporary visitor’s visa or a tourist visa. If you were not able to attend a graduation ceremony you will need to demonstrate the circumstances for why you were not able to attend an earlier graduation ceremony. For example, you will need to provide the reasons for why you may have received an Incomplete grade or NGP for an outstanding program component.
When applying in person at DIAC you will need to take the following documents with you:
- invitation to attend graduation ceremony or final results
- bank statement showing sufficient finance to support you until you return home
- return flight ticket
